All About Me

This is a page of boring blurb all about me.

I currently work as a software engineer at Research Machines - A major computer hardware and software supplier to the UK Education market. In fact I've been there for the last 10 years as of January '98, working my way up the programming sophistication tree from assembly-level BIOS stuff to Win32 applications in Visual C++.

Here's the obligatory picture of me , and another of my girlfriend Kathy . It has been noted that we bear more than a passing resemblance to some popular cartoon characters!

Stuff I like

Computers (yawn.......), and computer generated imaging (CGI).
Sci-Fi & Figure Modelling.
Eating too much, but I'm really fussy about what.
Films, especially Sci-Fi, Horror & Action-Adventure type things - the louder the better!
Animation (Looney Tunes, Rocko's Modern Life, The Trap Door, Wallace & Gromit, Danger Mouse etc.)
Babylon 5 - the best TV drama ever!
Ben & Jerry's - the best ice cream ever!

Stuff that gets my goat

Spammers and junk emailers - the bottom-dwelling scum-sucking pond-life of the 90's.
Selfish, arrogant or just plain bad drivers - especially those who:
- Hog the middle or outside lane when there is no traffic on their inside, but there is clearly other traffic wishing to pass.
- Use fog lights inappropriately, i.e. using them when it's not foggy, and not using them when it is.
- Pull out into faster moving traffic just because they have indicated they wish to do so.
- Weave from the outside to the inside lanes of a roundabout and back again as they circumnavigate.
TV ads for washing powder. Have these people heard of originality?
The worrying trend of converting nouns into verbs such as transitioned and leveraged.
